First Solar Inc. says its thin-film Series 3 photovoltaic solar modules have been listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) as meeting standards UL1703 and ULC1703 for use in PV systems up to 1,000 V.

This system voltage is typical for utility-scale PV power plants, First Solar notes. The company's modules were previously UL listed as meeting those standards for use in PV systems up to 600 V.
