Phoenix Solar has started construction on the 20 MW Hazlehurst solar farm in Georgia for Silicon Ranch Corp.
The Hazlehurst solar farm will serve Green Power EMC member cooperatives under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
Phoenix Solar is serving as engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed late this year.
"We are, of course, excited about the environmental benefits of the project, but we are equally proud of our ability to offer the benefits of solar energy to Georgia's member customers through their participating electric cooperatives,’ says Jeff Pratt, president of Green Power EMC.
