Hamburg, Germany-based Conergy and ATC Enviro Co. Ltd., a member of the Symbior Solar group, a solar PV developer for the Asian market, are building three solar power plants in Thailand.

Conergy will be responsible for the overall planning, engineering and design, as well as the component supply for the plants, representing a total capacity of 19 MW. The companies will collaborate with the Ensys Group, a long-standing local partner of Conergy, for on-ground construction.

Symbior Solar currently has six solar PV projects with a 30 MW capacity in Thailand and continues to develop an additional 100 MW in solar projects across Asia for implementation this year and the next.

After the completion of the ground-mount, free-field installation project in the Prachinburi province, there will be two solar parks with an installed capacity of 8 MW each, located in the Si Maha Phot district, and one 3 MW solar power plant in the Si Maho Sod district.

The two sites in the Si Maha Phot district will each generate over 11,675 MWh hours of electricity per year, and the site in the Si Maho Sod district will generate over 4,374 MWh per year. Together, these plants will supply approximately 28,000 MWh of clean electricity annually to local homes in the Prachinburi province.

The plants will be equipped with 61,260 Conergy PE310P modules, Conergy Sigma II mounting systems and 19 central inverters.
