Applied Energy Technologies (AET), a supplier of commercial- and utility-scale racking systems, has been selected to provide its Rayport-B ECO solar racking system for a 3.48 MW rooftop installation for AC Moore, an arts-and-crafts retail chain in the eastern U.S.
Pro-Tech Energy Solutions, which is responsible for the planning, design, development, management and construction, selected AET for the Berlin, N.J., project, which began construction in July.
The 11,232 panels, supplied by Trina, will bring power to the 750,000-square-foot distribution center, which services more than 140 stores and houses the AC Moore corporate office. SMA provided the inverters.
"Our Rayport-B ECO roof ballast system met Pro-Tech's needs in terms of price and ease of installation for such a large project," says Aaron Faust, vice president of business development at AET.
