PV Energy Installs 3 MW Solar And Energy Storage System For Antigua

The U.K.-based clean energy provider PV Energy Ltd. has completed a 3 MW solar project on the grounds of the V.C. Bird International Airport of Antigua.

The facility incorporates more than 12,000 ground-mounted polycrystalline photovoltaic panels as well as meeco Group's sun2safe inverter, energy storage and management system. The plant is expected to generate 4,645 MWh of electricity per year.

PV Energy has an agreement with the government of Antigua and Barbuda to install a total of 10 MW of solar PV capacity in the form of additional ground-mount facilities and roof-mounted projects.
