Following 10 months of construction, Centrosolar Group AG has opened a 47,000 square-meter, 150 MW solar module factory in Wismar, Germany. The EUR 23 million facility will create 250 new jobs in Wismar.
Producing up to 3,000 modules per day, the new factory's output will be five times greater than that achieved at Centrosolar's previous facility. Five assembly lines will produce crystalline silicon modules, primarily destined for grid-connected systems. The new facility will also produce in-roof modules for roof integration as well as customized modules.
