Moser Baer says that its 40 MW thin-film line has received certification from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The certification confirms that the thin-film modules to be produced at the plant in Greater Noida will meet IEC's stringent requirements for functional and mechanical capabilities for long-term operation and safety specifications under challenging environmental conditions.

Moser Baer recently announced that its photovoltaic subsidiary is ready for production of thin-film photovoltaic modules.

"This certification of our thin-film single junction modules is a huge win for us and a testament to the high caliber of Moser Baer's technical expertise and manufacturing processes," says Ratul Puri, executive director at Moser Baer. "The IEC certificate will help us successfully market thin-film PV technology and demonstrates the reliability and long-term performance of our product."
