DEGERenergie Toptraker Systems Now CSA/UL-Certified | in News Departments > Products & Technology | | DEGERenergie, a Germany-based provider of tracking systems for solar units, says that its uniaxial TOPtraker systems are now CSA/UL certified - representing a significant step in the company's U.S. market activities. According to the company, DEGERenergie's tracking systems increase the energy yield of photovoltaic systems by up to 45%.
The newly issued certification is valid for the uniaxial low-cost models DEGER TOPtraker 8.5, TOPtraker 25 HD and TOPtraker 40NT. DEGERenergie developed the TOPtraker 40NT for the U.S. market. The system is designed for up to a 40 square-meter module area and generates from 4,000 Wp to 6,400 Wp.
The three models were certified according to the Canada Standard CSA 22.2 No. 61010-1 and the U.S. Standard UL 61010-1. DEGERenergie notes that it has experienced a significant product demand boom in the U.S. since the election of President Obama.
