The juwi group has signed a contract for the construction of a 1.7 MW solar photovoltaic plant at a market hall in Verona, Italy. The company will design, build and operate the rooftop system, which will use 22,000 thin-film modules from First Solar.
juwi has signed a 20-year lease agreement with the hall operator, Veronamercato, for the use of the market-hall roof. The solar plant, covering a surface area of 16,000 square meters, will produce 1.8 million kWh of electricity per year.
