enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, has announced the commercial operation of the 1.8 MW Belle Mead solar project, located in Belle Mead, N.J.
Built on the grounds of Carrier Clinic, a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare system specializing in psychiatric and addiction treatment, the ground-mount fixed tilt solar array will supply 50% of Carrier Clinic's electrical needs under a 25-year power purchase agreement. This is enXco's fifth solar energy development in New Jersey in 2009.
