Masdar PV, a manufacturer of thin-film solar modules, has installed a 260 kW solar power system on the roof of its production facility in Ichtershausen, Germany.
For the design and construction phases of the project, Masdar PV commissioned system integrator Colexon Energy AG. A total of 2,900 modules, each with a 90 W capacity, were mounted parallel to the roof of the hall by the project partner, thus making optimal use of the roof area available.
The company plans to use this roof installation as a test facility in the future to determine the energy yield of its solar modules in conjunction with various inverters, notes Joachim Nell, chief operating officer and chief marketing officer at Masdar PV.
