Solar Industry: Content / FYI / PV Testing And Certification Center Opens In Singapore

The Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (the VDE Institute) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) have partnered with the Solar Energy Research Institute Of Singapore (SERIS) to open what the organizations say is the first testing and certification center for photovoltaic modules in southeast Asia.

A new joint venture, VDE-ISE Pte. Ltd. - founded by VDE and Fraunhofer ISE - will be led by Henry Paetz. This company will be responsible for customer service, certification and safety tests according to IEC 61730. SERIS, under the leadership of Joachim Luther, will carry out the various performance tests.
