The solar thermal industry has experienced a significant backlog in certification testing due to the lack of SRCC-certified testing laboratories and an increase in solar thermal business globally. Atlas says it has decided to invest significant resources to fill this need.
The company has successfully passed an on-site audit to SRCC Standard 100 - Test Methods and Minimum Standards for Certifying Solar Collectors. SRCC Standard 100 and ISO 9806-1, 2 and 3 standards - Test Methods for Solar Collectors - will soon be added to the current ISO 17025 accreditation scope.
SRCC has authorized Atlas to proceed with initial qualification testing while awaiting the final audit, Atlas adds.
