Reis Robotics, an international supplier of automation systems and technology-based total systems, says Solar Power Industries (SPI) has chosen Reis to build SPI's new solar module assembly line in Mt. Pleasant, Pa.

Reis Robotics says precision, automated string layup, foil handling, interconnection soldering, flashing and hi-pot testing, and integrated vision systems and electroluminescent quality testing are used to integrate process steps from manual to automated. Manual solutions are also deployed to optimize capital equipment expenditure, the company adds. SPI will use its own U.S.-made polycrystalline cells in these modules.
