SolarMarkt AG, a European photovoltaic wholesaler and integrator, has merged with Wurth Solar, a European integrator and manufacturer of copper indium gallium diselenide thin-film modules. The merge integrates and expands the companies' reach to include PV wholesales, integration, and manufacturing of mounting systems and solar thin-film modules.

All SolarMarkt subsidiaries are included in the merge, including U.S.-based Session Solar. After the merge, the companies - including Wurth Solar, SolarMarkt AG, Session Solar and Creotecc - will continue to be headed independently and operate with their own brands and markets.

Pending final approval by the German Federal Cartel Office, Wurth Solar will acquire a 100% share in SolarMarkt AG, including Session Solar and Creotecc GmbH, as well as all other foreign subsidiaries and project companies.
