Electron Solar Energy, a distributor of alternative energy systems, has been awarded an order for 100 complete renewable solar energy systems for the Haitian medical industry. The systems will help refrigerate critical medications and vaccines used to protect children against disease.
"While the individual system price for this contract is relatively low, the order represents an important milestone in expanding our 'solar kit' sales and assembly services in this key region," says Christopher Quinn, president and CEO of Electron Solar Energy.
"Like many economies with failing infrastructures and unreliable power sources, Haiti is moving toward adopting alternative energy, particularly solar energy," he adds.
