0

The City of Grand Rapids, Mich., has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to develop a photovoltaic power system to be installed on the Butterworth Landfill site, which is a recently cleaned-up Superfund site.

The site is adjacent to the City of Grand Rapids Wastewater Treatment Facility, and the proposed solar power system will provide power to the facility. The photovoltaic system is to be designed, constructed, owned and operated by the developer. The city will enter into a 15- to 20-year power purchase agreement with the developer to purchase the electricity produced at a rate to be proposed by the developer.

A mandatory pre-proposal conference and site visit for interested bidders will be held on Feb. 19 at 10:00 a.m. EST at the Environmental Services Ottotorium in Grand Rapids.

All solicitation information and documents will be made available through the WebProcure system. Register for the system here.
