Independence Solar has completed a 103 kW rooftop solar array for lumber retailer Ring's End, at its Branford, Conn., location.
The installation contains 420 panels and will offset more than 60% of the building's annual electrical usage. Independence Solar worked with its installation partner, Branford-based Pat Munger Construction, to complete the project.
The installation is connected to Connecticut's Light & Power Co.'s grid and is a part of the Zero Emissions Renewable Energy Certificate program, which secures a 15-year contract with the utility.
