SunLink Launches
New Combiner Box
SunLink Corp. has unveiled the latest addition to its HomeRun combiner box family with the introduction of HomeRun LTE. The new HomeRun LTE boxes feature a lower price point and more compact enclosures than the company’s other models.
“When an installer doesn’t need advanced features like monitoring, compression-style lugs or 750 Kcmil outputs, HomeRun LTE is the perfect solution,” says Daniel Sherwood, director of electrical products for SunLink. “The LTE boxes are easy to install, handle and mount, and are less expensive to ship than larger, more feature-robust boxes.”
All HomeRun solar combiner boxes are ETL listed to UL 1741 and are made in the U.S., the company notes.

Mage Solar Releases
High-Wattage Module
Mage Solar has introduced a new high-wattage version of its Powertec Plus module. The 72-cell, 285 W polycrystalline module features a larger footprint than the company’s other modules.
According to Mage, this design reduces labor time and installation costs. As with other modules in the product family, the new module features zero to +5 W tolerance for maximum power generation, meaning that it always performs at least at nameplate value, the company adds. It also includes a guarantee of 90% power output for 12 years and 80% output for 30 years.

Advantech Introduces
Automation Controller
Advantech’s industrial automation group has introduced the ECU-1710A automation controller, which is designed for solar module manufacturing and other applications.
The controller combines an embedded computer and plug-in DAQ cards into one low-profile, small-footprint unit, the company says. It integrates the DAQ cards (PCI-1710UL and PCI-1720U) onto the motherboard, which offers 16-channel analog input, four-channel analog output, 16-channel isolated digital input and 16-channel isolated digital output channels.
In order to enable customers to develop their own applications and monitoring solutions, the ECU-1710A supports DAQNavi. DAQNavi is a single integrated software package for programmers to develop their application programs and includes all utilities, drivers, SDK and documents necessary for hardware configuration, testing and programming, Advantech says.

Eurener Introduces
Transparent Module
Eurener, a Spain-based PV module manufacturer, has introduced Clear, a transparent PV module designed for optimal architectural integration.
The module consists of 60 crystalline silicon cells and features positive tolerance and power up to 250 W. Glass with 4-mm thickness and an air chamber in the frame are intended to provide increased mechanical strength, the company notes.
Clear is available in two models: CEPV-Monocrystalline and CEP-Polycrystalline. Each is available with a silver grey aluminum frame, a black frame and semi-transparent black cells, or no frame. Certifications include IEC 61215, IEC 61730, frontal load (snow) of 5400 Pa, backload (wind) of 2400 Pa, C class fire resistance, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Eurener adds.

Ingeteam Unveils
New Inverter
Spain-based Ingeteam has released the Ingecon Sun PowerMax central inverter. With 1 MW AC rated power, the unit features an advanced air cooling system that enables it to provide its 1,019 kW peak power at up to 45° C ambient temperature, the company says.
PowerMax inverters allow a maximum DC voltage of 1,000 V and are available for both indoor and outdoor installations. They feature a group of radial fans that force air circulation inside the equipment and increase the inverters’ performance, according to the company. Additionally, the integrated cabinet simplifies maintenance, as the main input and output protections are located inside the same cabinet.

Cooper Bussmann
Expands Range
Cooper Bussmann, a provider of circuit protection, power management and electrical safety products, has launched a new combiner box range that provides protection, switching and monitoring for PV systems. Designed for system voltages from 600 VDC to 1,000 VDC, the new range combines the latest in overcurrent, overvoltage and monitoring technology in one custom-built package, the company says.
With a capacity of up to 24 input strings, the combiner box can accommodate a wide range of input currents using 1 A to 20 A ratings in 10 mm x 38 mm fuses and 25 A to 32 A ratings in 14 mm x 51 mm fuses.
Each fuse is housed in a gPV-rated fuse holder, with the 10 mm x 38 mm modular fuse holders benefiting from additional fuse indication. The fuse holders are spaced to allow airflow, which the company says is important for dissipating excess heat under typical operating conditions for PV installations.
